Amel is a doctor at an Algerian hospital. She tries her best to exert her job and live her
life as a young woman in spite of the civil war. One evening, her husband, a journalist,
vanishes. Facing the indifference and the inertia of the authorities, she decides to seek
him out herself. She is accompanied by Khadija, an energetic nurse who, in her youth,
involved herself in the engagements for independence. Through a dubious and perilous
tour, the two women will discover themselves and each other, as they are confronted with the men of their country…
